Janessa Wilson

Janessa Wilson is a third year studying English, with an interest in African-American Studies. She loves to read anything with a good plot, along with watching old TV series, and playing horror games on the easiest difficulty. If you can’t find her, she’s probably trying to catch a stray cat or hiding away at home.

Solenn Vincent

Solenn Vincent is a second-year studying English and Creative Writing on the Publishing Track. She enjoys reading YA literature and dabbling in poetry and creative nonfiction. In her free time, she can be found at a coffee shop coming up with story ideas.

Eleanor is a fourth year, majoring in English and Creative Writing and minoring in Art. When she isn't reading or writing, she can be found drinking an iced coffee no matter what time of year it is, watching Ink Master, and figuring out how to cram another concert into her schedule.

Charice is a fourth year Journalism & Mass Communication major with a Certificate in Writing. Aside from consuming media at-large, she fills her time with grandma activities like crocheting and making little trinkets for herself and her friends (and their cats).

Autumn is a third-year studying English and creative writing on the publishing track, French, and translation. When she's not busy copyediting for Wilder Things, being an Honors Writing Fellow, or translating for Boundless, she can be found making her way through an endless stack of books, writing novels, or rock climbing at the Rec.
Whitney Jensen

Whitney is a third year English and creative writing student at the University of Iowa on the publishing track. She adores pieces of fiction which speculate on the possible futures of our world; put an apocalypse novel in front of her and she'll never put it down! Outside of Wilder Things, Whitney can be found sitting dramatically by the riverside or cozied up for movie night with her friends.
Lauren Kern

Lauren is a third-year English and Creative writing major on the publishing track with an entrepreneurial certificate who looks forward finally finishing the ever growing list of novels on her reading list. If she's not buried in a fantasy book you'll probably find her at one of the many cafes on campus buying another latte or dancing her heart out to a new top twenty song.

Myah is a senior studying Business Analytics and Marketing. When not in Tippie studying or working with her business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi, you'll probably find her outside yapping with friends or jamming to music on a run.

Danielle is a fourth-year student majoring in English and creative writing on the publishing track with a Spanish minor. She can often be found spending time with friends, nose in a novel, or snuggled on the couch watching Bob’s Burgers. She hopes to one day travel the world with Costa Rica, Spain, and Greece as her top bucket list destinations.
Shea Winters
Design/Typesetter (she/her)
Shea is a third year majoring in English and Creative Writing on the publishing track. When she's not reading or watching cheesy rom-coms, she might be found fantasizing about doomsday scenarios or about how she would (or wouldn't) survive the zombie apocalypse. Outside of Wilder Things, Shea works as the art editor for InkLit and as a writing editor for snapshots magazine.
Braja Servin

Braja is a fourth-year double majoring in Japanese and English and Creative Writing at the University of Iowa. Her interdisciplinary research spans Japanese manga/Korean manhwa, fan studies, and gender, women and sexuality studies in the primary context of Boys Love (BL) media. If you ask which BL is her roman empire, she will say at least fifteen different titles before promoting My Love Mix Up by Hinekure Wataru and Aruko. Although, Banana Scandal by Dolsha would also be a worthy contender… so would Lost in the Cloud by Paskim…

Josephine is a senior studying English and creative writing. Right now, she is drowning in her TBR list yet keeps adding more books to it. She might not be a math major, but this doesn't feel sustainable.
Kennedy Ebberts

Kennedy is a third year transfer student majoring in English and Creative Writing on the publishing track. She loves reading anything fantasy but prefers when there’s at least a romantic subplot. Her favorite past time besides reading is over analyzing Taylor Swift lyrics and forcing her friends to watch elaborate slide shows about Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones lore.

Janani is a second-year English & Creative Writing and Journalism & Mass Communications double major. She’s from Champaign, Illinois, and loves reading science fiction and horror. In her free time, she enjoys binging shows on Netflix, playing tabletop roleplaying games, and finding new restaurants to try out in Iowa City.
Taylor Conrad

Taylor Conrad is a Senior originally from a tiny town in southeast Iowa situated snuggly between a patchwork of corn and soybean fields. She is majoring in English and Creative writing and on the publishing track, but when she is not studying you can find her playing indie video games, singing in the university's Camerata Choir, and cuddling with her beloved rescue cat, Skeeter.
Maddie Zell

Maddie is a senior in the Honors Program, majoring in English and creative writing on the publishing track. When she’s not reading or writing, Maddie can be found singing along to Taylor Swift songs or searching for dogs to pet around campus.
