As the semester chugs along past midterms, Wilder Things wanted to provide a quick little update on the physical issue that we have in the works. To start, we wanted to say another enormous thank you to everyone who submitted their work for consideration! We had an amazing turnout for submissions this semester, and truly had our work cut out for us in narrowing it down to only twenty pieces. And to any whose work was not selected, a reminder that our spring issue involves an additional process in which our workshop team will work with authors to help their piece become its best version before its inclusion in the magazine, so everyone is very much encouraged to submit their work again in search of such an opportunity!
As far as progress on the current issue goes, rest assured that our copy team is hard at work editing and formatting all of the pieces that have been accepted. And though there are still a plethora of steps to take and a good deal of time before the magazine is ready to see the light of day, we have an exciting announcement for you all in the meantime! The marketing team has been planning launch! Spring semester is the time to keep an eye on the blog and our official Instagram page @wilderthingsmag for an additional announcement when the details for the launch are nailed down.
